There are conversations that only come up when we're together.

We are daughters, mothers, partners. We are the ones who’ve put everything into their careers and the ones who’ve put everything into their families. The ones who are starting over and the ones who aren’t quite sure what’s next. The ones who carry too much in silence and the ones who smile even when it’s hard. We share our gender and, with it, a multitude of roles that we often don’t even have time to name.

There are things that only the Camino brings to the surface. When your body grows tired, your mind quiets down. When there’s nothing left to do but take the next step, thoughts that had been waiting for space to emerge finally do. And when you’re surrounded by other women going through the same thing, something happens that’s hard to explain but impossible to forget: you realize you’re not alone in this.

Sharing this experience with strangers might be the most rejuvenating thing you do this year. Real women, with different stories, united by a common purpose: to take the first step.

Distances and times are approximate. We always walk at the group’s pace, taking breaks, and no one is left behind.

    Day 0 September 18

    Arrival in Valença

    Tonight isn’t the Caminho just yet. It’s the waiting room. Everyone starts from their own spot, at their own pace. Check-in is available starting at 3:00 p.m. for anyone who arrives early and wants to enjoy a leisurely afternoon. If you can only arrive later, that’s no problem.

    At 7:30 p.m., we all met for the first time. Ten women with completely different stories, sitting at the same table, talking about the journey we’re about to take, what brought us here, and what we hope to find on the other side of the bridge.

  2. Sept. 19

    Day 1 Sept. 19

    Valença → O Porriño

    20 km 5–6 hours Easy

    The route begins with a symbolic crossing of the International Bridge over the Minho River. In Tui, the cathedral and medieval streets mark the perfect start to the walk. The route continues along green trails and through damp woodlands to Orbenlle and the famous Pilgrim’s Wall. The arrival in O Porriño brings a more urban atmosphere, full of life.

    Day 2 Sept. 20

    O Porriño → Redondela

    15 km 4–5 hours Moderate

    A day with some of the most challenging climbs, but also some of the most beautiful. Amid rural villages and open landscapes, the first views of the Ria de Vigo come into sight. The climb up to Chan das Pipas is intense, and the descent to Redondela calls for caution. Here, the Coastal Route and the Central Way converge, bringing more pilgrims and a new pace.

    Redondela → Pontevedra

    19 km 5–6 hours Moderate

    A well-balanced stage combining nature, history, and traditional villages. The views of the Ria de Vigo mark the start of the day. There are a few elevation changes, especially near the medieval bridge of Sampaio. The arrival in Pontevedra is one of the highlights of the route, featuring a vibrant city steeped in the tradition of the Way of St. James.

    Pontevedra → Caldas de Reis

    22 km 5–6 hours Moderate

    One of the most peaceful and beautiful stretches of the route, full of shade, streams, and woodlands. The route begins at the ancient bridge in O Burgo, leading to charming rural trails. You’ll find the turnoff to the Espiritual Route and magical spots like the Barosa Waterfalls. Caldas de Reis welcomes you with the comfort of its hot springs.

    Caldas de Reis → Padrón

    19 km 5–6 hours Easy to moderate

    A charming stage, marked by cool forests, peaceful trails, and villages bustling with local life. The sound of water accompanies much of the route. The arrival in Padrón is special: according to tradition, it was here that the boat carrying the body of St. James the Apostle arrived.

    Padrón → Santiago de Compostela

    24 km 6–7 hours Moderate

    The final stage is a moment of great emotion. Between rural villages and urban areas, each step brings you closer to the Cathedral. Passing through O Milladoiro announces that Santiago is near. Arriving at the Plaza del Obradoiro is the climax of the entire pilgrimage.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need prior experience on the Camino?

No. This edition is designed for all types of participants, including those walking the Camino for the first time. The guides adjust the pace to suit the group.

Why is this edition exclusively for women?

We know that women are often the first to put off walking the Camino. The most common reason isn’t a lack of desire—it’s a lack of confidence in doing it alone. This edition was created precisely for that reason: an all-women’s experience, with experienced guides, a small group, and all the logistics taken care of—so that the only reason you wouldn’t go is if you really didn’t want to.

How many guides are accompanying the group?

The group consists of 10 participants and will be accompanied by two experienced guides throughout the entire trip.

If the group has 6 participants, a guide will lead the hike. In a smaller group, the personal attention and support remain exactly the same: you’ll still be accompanied every step of the way, from the first to the last kilometer.

Are meals included?

No. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are not included in the price and are at the discretion of each participant.

In practice, this gives you freedom: the guides know the route well and suggest places to stop every day, from pilgrim-friendly menus to great local spots. You eat whatever you feel like, at your own pace and within your budget, without any set schedules for the group. On average, expect to spend about 25 to 35 € per day on meals.

What is not included in the price?

Meals, drinks, personal expenses, transportation to Valença and back from Santiago, backpack transport between stages, and the extra night in Santiago. Everything else—lodging, guided tours, the pilgrim’s credential and scallop shell, insurance, the preparation session, and the checklist—is covered.

Where do we sleep, and who am I staying with?

We stay at private hostels, each one carefully selected based on their rating within our pilgrim community: location, cleanliness, comfort, and atmosphere.

We all slept together in the group dormitory, which shared the hostel’s bathroom. It’s the most authentic way to experience the Camino—and, in practice, it’s where much of what the pilgrims later remember takes place: the conversations at the end of the day, the boots drying side by side, the laughter before the lights go out.

Should we bring our backpacks with us?

Yes. The golden rule is to keep your backpack to no more than 10% of your body weight—that’s what ensures it doesn’t get in the way of your experience.

Still, if you’d rather hike completely light, there’s the option to have your backpacks transported between stages: every day, your backpack is taken from one lodging to the next and is waiting for you when you arrive. The extra charge is 60 € for the 6 days.

How does the reservation work? What if I need to cancel?

To confirm your registration, the registration fee is 250 €. This amount serves as a deposit, guarantees your spot, covers the organizational costs incurred since your registration, and is deducted from the final payment—the total amount of 690 € remains unchanged.

If you need to cancel up to 30 days before departure, we’ll refund everything you’ve paid above the deposit. In the last month before departure, refunds are not possible, but you can always transfer your registration to another group on a different date, keeping the amount you’ve already paid.
