The stages of the Spiritual Variant
The Spiritual Variant of the Portuguese Way is one of the most authentic, symbolic, and exciting routes to Santiago de Compostela. This route, which combines nature, history, spirituality, and tradition, offers pilgrims a unique experience: walking along ancient trails, passing through villages steeped in history, and sailing down the legendary River Ulla, recreating the crossing that, according to tradition, brought the body of St. James the Apostle to Compostela.
