TEAM
BUILDING
A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE,
INSPIRED BY THE
OF SANTIAGO

More than a walk, it is an experience that promotes active listening, mutual help and collective focus, where each step strengthens the bond between team members.

This team building proposal takes place on the first official stage of the Portuguese Central Way to Santiago, between Lisbon Cathedral and Granja de Alpriate. It is a symbolic and powerful experience, as it marks the real starting point for many pilgrims on their way to Santiago.

We start early, with a unique moment: watching the sunrise from one of the city's most iconic points, the Miradouro de Santa Luzia, and following Lisbon as it wakes up. We continue through the historic streets, passing the Feira da Ladra, where the city begins to come alive, and head towards Parque das Nações.

When we reach the River Trancão, we say goodbye to the Tagus and leave behind the urban landscape to enter an unexpected rural dimension, an unknown side of Lisbon for many. We'll walk along the bank, surrounded by farmland and small trails, where the silence and tranquillity transport us to a completely different atmosphere.

It's a walk of contrasts, offering the team a remarkable experience: the start of a new stage, the transition from noise to silence, from the city to nature - and, symbolically, from doing to listening. A brief immersion in the transformative magic of the Camino, now at the service of connecting people.

🌍 Note: at the moment, we have the experience fully prepared for the Lisbon area, but we are available and ready to design it in other regions of the country too - as long as the true spirit of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago can be experienced there.

Why the Way as inspiration?

Because the Camino de Santiago has been a transformative experience for centuries. Over hundreds of kilometers, pilgrims learn to adapt, listen, collaborate, manage effort and trust others - skills that are also essential in the professional world.

On the Way, rhythm is not imposed: it is discovered. Just like in a team, you have to listen, adjust and find a common rhythm. You learn to value silence, full presence and the small gestures of mutual help that, in the end, make all the difference.

In a business environment, this experience inspires:

  • Active listening: how to learn to listen without judgment and with full attention
  • Effort management: how to balance rhythms and respect each other's limits
  • Focus on the essential: the simplicity of the Way helps refocus priorities
  • A spirit of mutual help: when someone slows down, the group slows down with them - and moves on together
  • Adapting to change: The Way teaches you to react flexibly to unforeseen events
  • Celebrating achievements: every stage completed is a shared victory

More than a metaphor, the Way is a real experience that is transformed into collective learning with a lasting impact on team dynamics.

More and more people are seeking refuge on the Camino de Santiago as a way of balancing the intense pace of big cities. Contact with nature, silence and time to walk become tools for self-care and reflection.

Providing employees with this experience could perhaps be the push they need to rediscover their work-life balance - and with it, more well-being, more focus and more happiness at work.
