In the second stage of the Preparation Walks for the Camino de Santiago , we set off from Santa Iria da Azóia Station towards the official Route, resuming our journey north, always with the Tagus River as our companion.

Right at the beginning, we cross the Tagus Estuary Park , one of the most beautiful natural areas on the Way, where wooden walkways , marshes and migratory birds envelop us in an atmosphere of peace and contemplation.

We continue along trails, bike paths and short stretches along the road, passing through Alhandra until we reach Vila Franca de Xira , a city full of identity and Ribatejo soul, where we will take a short break. This is one of the most striking points of the stage — the intersection between the Camino and tradition, where you can feel the pulse of local culture. Here we end the walk with the possibility of a convivial lunch — the ideal moment to celebrate, exchange impressions and strengthen the bonds that the Camino is creating.
